Tea Bags:
About 1-1/2 X 2 inches in size and made of muslin with a cotton string. One tea bag can be used at least three times. So, after each use put it in a sealed plastic bag in the fridge. Discard product but do not discard the tea bag, wash it and reuse it.
Poultices:
A moist hot herb pack applied locally. Mix powdered herb with hot water to form a paste. Spread the paste on a non-colored cotton cloth or muslin. Apply to affected area, cloth side against the skin, in drastic cases as in a fresh non-gaping cut; put the herb side to the skin.
Fomentations:
Make a specific tea and soak a strip of 4X22 inch muslin or other non-colored cotton cloth in it. Wring it out enough so it doesn’t drip and apply it to the affected area or wrap it around the limb like an ace bandage. Example: Chickweed Tea is very good for itching. It can relieve Eczema or bug bites by applying the tea directly to the affected area. Short of making a bath of Chickweed Tea and soaking it, which isn’t a bad idea, the next best thing is to soak a cotton cloth in the tea and apply it to the skin. NEXT
